Eligibility Criteria for TNPSC Group
Age Limit for TNPSC Exam
Job aspirants who are applying for the TNPSC Group 1 Exam make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria is fulfilled. Whenever any job is announced, there will an official notification. Eligibility criteria and other details are usually mentioned in the official notification.

Note: Relaxation will be given to the candidates of different categories as per the rules and regulations by the government.
Educational Qualification is a must!
- It is necessary for a candidate applying for the TNPSC Group 1 Jobs to have a degree of Graduation from a recognised University/ Institute, depending on the posts.
- Candidates who are in the final year of their degree are also eligible to apply for the Prelims of the Group-1 posts.
Those who are going to apply for the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category-1) must possess the below-mentioned physical qualifications:
- For men: Height should not be less than 165 cms and chest should not be less than 86 cms.
- For Women: Height should not be less that 155 cms.
Note: Since this is an exam for Tamil Nadu, adequate knowledge of Tamil is a must.
